Installation Technician Lead

Job Description:

Truespot is a rapidly growing real time location services company providing tracking technology to dealerships and hospitals. We are seeking a full-time candidate, who will be driven, proactive, and dedicated to our quest for tracking excellence. The Installation Tech Lead will play a key role in onsite installations by serving as a lead to the deployment team and providing exceptional service as the onsite liaison to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for directing the team workflow and installation process for all installment projects.

  • Prepare installation work orders, collect necessary supplies, and survey deployment location for upcoming onsite installations.

  • Physically install and update Truespot tracking equipment, including indoor devices, solar devices, and key tracking tags.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace Truespot devices as needed.

  • Conduct network checks on our platform to ensure our tracking performance is top-notch.

  • Interact with customers in a professional and respectful manner, providing excellent customer service at all times.

  • Provide direction to the installment team in order to complete installations and maintenance in an organized and efficient fashion.

  • Assist in training installers on best practices.

  • Update, create, and improve processes and documents as assigned.

  • Proactively problem solve by identifying and implementing solutions to any workflow blockers.

  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inventory.

  • Collaborate with the Operations Team and management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience leading a team and directing workflow.

  • Strong attention to detail and active problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Strong time management skills are critical.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word).

  • Ability to pass a thorough background check.

  • Availability to work the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday (if on an onsite installation these hours could extend to 8pm).

  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

  • Ability to work at heights of up to 20 feet during installations.

  • Ability to travel as required for installations up to 75% of the time as business need requires. (All accommodations are paid for by Truespot during installations.)

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Ability to commute to our corporate office in Irving, TX when not traveling for installations.

 

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Knowledge of the ticketing platform JIRA and Confluence

  • Previous installation experience

  • Previous automotive experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
