Regional Sales Executive (Automotive)
Job Description:
TrueSpot, headquartered in Irving (Las Colinas) in the heart of the DFW Metroplex in North Texas, is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our rapidly growing automotive team. As a Sales Executive, you will be directly responsible for acquiring and closing new business opportunities, with a secondary focus on expanding existing customer deployments and cultivating select partnerships. This role is exceptionally dynamic, demanding your Consultative Sales, business development and relationship-building skills. While candidates residing near our headquarters are welcome to work in-office, this role is open to remote employees based anywhere in the U.S. TrueSpot is committed to supporting your career development and growth as a sales professional.
Compensation:
- Base Salary $65,000 - $85,000
- Total Compensation Potential: uncapped with an opportunity to reach over $150,000 by exceeding target goals.
Responsibilities:
- Relentlessly seek, qualify, and engage with target dealerships and dealer groups (across the US and Canada) and their key decision-makers to create conversations and opportunities for TrueSpot.
- Leverage existing automotive industry networks to identify new opportunities and strengthen TrueSpot’s industry presence.
- Articulate the value proposition of the company's Lot Management 360 (RTLS and Asset Management) solution to Dealer Principals, Inventory Managers, IT Leaders, and other key stakeholders responsible for lot and asset management solutions, leveraging a Consultative Sales approach.
- Conduct product and solution demos and presentations online, in person, and at field events and automotive conferences.
- Gain executive sponsorship and engage all key stakeholders to demonstrate the operational impact and ROI of Lot Management 360 on their dealership operations.
- Prepare formal proposals and execute resulting contracts.
- Track sales metrics and utilize HubSpot CRM.
- Collaborate with Sales Management and other sales team members to ensure alignment and a winning proposition for customers.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Sales in Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and product positioning discussions.
- Actively engage in professional development opportunities, including industry events, training, and self-learning, to stay ahead in a fast-evolving market.
- Report directly to the Vice President of Sales.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience selling in the automotive industry.
- Established network of relationships within the automotive industry, especially with dealerships or dealer groups, is highly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in Consultative Sales of technical solutions, software products, and SaaS solutions in the automotive retail and operations market. Experience with automotive asset management and RTLS experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders within organizations.
- Strong understanding of negotiation strategies and the ability to craft win/win solutions for all parties.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and sales metrics tracking.
