Product Owner

Job Description:

The Product Owner is a member of the product development team and manages the entire product development process to ensure that every product offers the greatest value possible. They research and determine the clients’ needs to determine which features to include on products, always being well-versed on the goals for the product. The Product Owner acts as the primary contact between the agile scrum teams, product management and stakeholders to ensure the products meet specific objectives. 

The Product Owner is responsible for day-to-day activities including overseeing the full development process, gathering requirements, creating and refining user stories, managing the product backlog and seeking for ways to improve the product. After product completion, the Product Owner conducts a final review and submits their approval before releasing the product to clients. 

The Product Owner is expected to: 

• Work with Product Management to define the product strategy and roadmap for both healthcare (MedSpot) and automotive (LM360) applications 

• Deliver product requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification  

• Manage product lifecycle according to Agile within Jira for development team by creating and refining user stories, managing the product backlog and leading grooming meetings  

• Create internal and customer-facing documentation as necessary 

• Collaborate with UI/UX for mobile and web solutions used by clinical and dealership personnel, ensuring intuitive workflows and asset interactions 

• Work with external third parties to assess, translate and document requirements for development 

• Participate in pilot programs and beta rollouts, incorporating field feedback into iterative product refinement 

• Act as subject matter expert for RFPs, sales support, and client onboarding engagement 

• Assist with pre-sales support, customer onboarding, process creation as needed 

• Maintain a strong understanding of competitive offerings and evolving standards in RTLS, IoT connectivity, and BLE/LoRa-based wireless systems 

Requirements: 

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager in a SaaS environment 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer studies or related business area is required 

• In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology 

• Proficiency in the use of analytic tools and strong analytical thinking 

• Ability to work with large teams and a variety of people, including users, product development team members and management team members offshore and remote 

• Ability to prioritize effectively 

• Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles  

• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills 

• Technical background with strong understanding of mobile applications, IoT, cloud infrastructure, RESTful APIs, SDKs, and RTLS systems a plus 

• Experience in Healthcare SW/HW, Automotive SW/HW, security compliance is a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000–$120,000 per year

• Potential Bonus: based on project milestones and GTM performance
